let
me share with you why I have so much confidence in Saunders:
His integrity is without question, a
much-needed trait among elected officials.
He is gifted at working with others to
reach common ground, seeking solutions for the tough challenges our community
faces. His campaign message, "Seeking Solutions — Building Bridges,"
aptly describes his style and commitment to collaboration.
His knowledge and experience in the
financial sector is impressive, having almost 40 years of experience in the
Knoxville financial arena. I am sure you would agree that during these
challenging financial times, it is vital for our elected officials to have
strong financial skills and the ability to skillfully navigate financial
waters.
As a native Knoxvillian, he has
demonstrated an ongoing commitment to serving his community as evidenced by the
many organizations to which he has given his time, talents and leadership."
According to John Bohstedt, Knoxville, in a letter published in the Knoxville News Sentinel on September 6, 2011, Finbarr Saunders "spent years representing all Knoxvillians on critical and
complex issues. Knoxville needs to go forward with experience, not
backward with on-the-job training."
